WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM
Formerly WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR PERMANENT PEACE

Dear Friend:

An invitation was recently sent to you from the National office in New York inviting you to join the International League as well as the Section for the United States; a plan which has been very successful in the International Suffrage Alliance.

I am venturing to send you a copy of the International constitution and different sets of resolutions in the hope that you may care to join us, although I am sorry that I cannot send you copies of our News Sheet giving more current information.

The office at Geneva is constantly sending out fresh and suggestive material to the individual members and many of us find it a comfort at least to know directly of the conditions in starving Europe and of the touching efforts being made in many countries “to end war.”

We shall be grateful for your further cooperation.

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Hull-House, Chicago.
