Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.
My dear Miss Addams:
The enclosed appeal to Mrs. Emmons Blaine is just what it purports to be, an urgent request for funds without which we shall not be able to get through the summer. I know you are awfully busy but if you could find a moment to second our appeal, we know it would be very helpful.
We are also enclosing a copy of the Bruce Bliven review of the volume on Russian-American relations which appeared in the New York Globe and other papers, and extracts from other reviews.
Sincerely yours,
James G McDonald [signed]
Chairman.
