Miss [Mina] Van Winkle,
Food Administration, Washington, D.C.
Regret very much inability to go to FLORIDA eleventh and twelfth. Telegram sent November twenty third from HULL HOUSE. Must have miscarried. Have accepted engagement to speak before NATIONAL COUNCIL OF WOMEN in Washington December eleventh on subject of WORLDS FOOD SUPPLY and the NEW INTERNATIONALISM also speak in PHILADELPHIA on FOOD SUPPLY December tenth. It might be better if I made no engagements on this topic excepting through your office. Have written explanation to FLORIDA.
