My dear Mrs. Lane:
I am enclosing a copy of a letter which we sent out yesterday to all State Chairmen, Chairmen of Branches and Affiliated Organizations, calling for an Emergency Meeting of the Executive Board, together with State Chairmen, and Chairmen of Branches and Affiliated Organizations, on February 21st at the Hotel McAlpin.
You will see that we have stated in this letter that information in reference to the meeting can be secured through your office. Miss Addams has asked me to write in reference to this and say that the meeting was called so hurriedly that we did not have time to communicate with your office in reference to this, but we felt sure that you would be willing to give information to any who were at a loss and called you up. The only information we can give you in reference to the meeting is that contained in the letter, namely, that the sessions will be in the Hotel McAlpin at ten thirty and at two thirty, and possibly in the evening, on Wednesday, February 21st.
Would you be kind enough to call up the management of the hotel and arrange for the parlors on this day, and also, would you be kind enough to engage a room for Miss Jane Addams with a double bed and a bath? She would be very grateful to you if you can do this.
