BERLIN, Nov. 15 (by wireless to Sayville). -- The arrest by the British authorities of Miss Emily Hobhouse, an English writer, is reported in a dispatch from The Hague to the Overseas News Agency.

Recently Miss Hobhouse was said by the news agency to have made a trip to Belgium, subsequently writing articles to the effect that there was less devastation in Belgium than in South Africa during the Boer War, and that in trips through many Belgian towns she had found that the people were on the best of terms with the German soldiers.
