My dear Sarah
I am so sorry you have had the grief and shock of Miss Partello's death. Won't you give my love to Sue and assure her of my sympathy. I am so glad I had that last glimpse of Miss Partello in Cedarville -- she [page 2] seemed to me quite unchanged.
I stood a trip to Washington and dinner at the White House so well that my doctor is letting me do more each day which pleases me greatly.
