My dear Mr. Frind:
Your telegram to Miss Addams signed for you by Eslie M. Gill has been forwarded to this office from Hull House, giving your plan for promoting peace through urging thousands of minds to think peace aided by minds that have been specially trained in the science of telepathic projection.
You speak of having sent money to President Wilson to promote such a movement. It would not be possible in connection with the Woman's Peace Party to carry out such a project as you suggest but we are trying with all our strength to promote the thinking of peace, the talking of peace and the creating of a peace sentiment wherever possible. We believe that public opinion earnestly turned towards peace and favoring it intensely would do more than anything else in promoting this peace movement.
We are wondering if with this in mind you would care to contribute to the Woman's Peace Party movement. This is merely a suggestion of a possible way in which you might help peace, though our method would not be exactly the one you [page 2] would carry out.
Hoping we may hear from you, I am
