My dear Miss Hyers

May I send the [enclosed] letters for file. I inferred from Mrs Wilmarth's telegram this morning that the meeting for Dr Jacobs & the others would take place for which I am very grateful. I hope to be back the very end of the month, perhaps in time for it.

Miss Balch was here for a week and it seemed possible -- Macmillan accepted the proposition at once -- to put our various articles into a .50 cent book which the publisher will advertise and sell, and of course we can handle as many as we like [through] the Woman's Peace Party -- that will save us money and perhaps dignify the material. I am [enclosing] the title page -- the stuff is about ready to send. My love to Mrs Thomas & to the others. I am finding pleurisy very [slow]. Hastily yours Jane Addams
