Biographical Text

Walter Bissinger, the son of Benjamin and Leah Bissinger, was a student at the Howe Military Academy in Indiana. Home for Christmas break, he was one of the 600 victims of the 1903 Iroquois Theatre Fire. Bissinger's poems were published after his death as Thoughts in Verse and Prose (1904).
