My dear Lady

I am for taking the old quarters if we can possibly afford it. I will promise to keep on with my ten dollars a month whatever the national plans may be. I am afraid you will have to let me off from Galesburg. When [page 2] I made the engagement I did not realize I would be a Bull Moose by Oct. 1st and with many speaking engagements. The program seems to me very good but you are the person to swing it. Perhaps [Miss] Breckinridge would take my place in the evening [page 3] May I thank you for your valiant defense against [Miss] Boardman. I was really touchingly grateful

Affectionately Yours

Jane Addams.
