My dear Alice

Thank you so much for your telegram. I have just gotten the box ready and it will go tomorrow at nine in the morning.

There is no haste about them, and either chronologically or in subject as you prefer. I find that I have all of the literary criticism in separate boxes so I did not send them.

You are awfully good to undertake it. Hastily yrs

Jane Addams

P.S.

Poor Esther is having a very hard summer. She is in a cottage on the lake at Smith House and both Brother and Mary have been awfully ill with dysentery. They all, three of them, have had the measles this summer. I am not going east until I see them am waiting to decide whether to go there.
