My dear Alice

I thank you very much for both of your good letters. I found the last one upon my return from Lakeside yesterday. Mary Smith and I motored back 91 miles in five hours and enjoyed the ride greatly. Five us went out in the motor Friday afternoon and found it a rather warm journey but yesterday was delightful. [page 2]

Esther is very comfortably settled in the barn like house, you must go out to see it some time soon.

Norah Hamilton is quite sure that she can find your films [although] I am bound to say that she has not done so yet. I will lend a helping hand to go through the house immediately upon my return from Madison whither I [illegible] today. [page 3]

The pen & ink sketches are coming on very well. I am sure we will not need more Cedarville ones-- With love to all the household, your loving sister

Jane Addams
