Dear Mr Galbraith

The bearer, Hyman Shapiro, a clerk in the mailing division has an important part in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night which one of our clubs is giving.

The first dates were in [page 2] February, and you kindly permitted the young man to postpone his night service for a month. Unfortunately the play has ben postponed until March because the cast was not ready earlier. We know that it is asking a great deal [page 3] that Hyman Shapiro be permitted to wait yet another month for his night duty, and yet we should be very grateful to you if it could be arranged.

Hoping that I am not trespassing upon your courtesy, I am

Sincerely yours

Jane Addams
