Dear Lady:

Do you suppose that we could secure Clare Sheridan to come to Chicago and speak at a lunch under the auspices of our Russian Relief For Women and Children?

We would get a very fashionable Committee and do all we could to make it a grand occasion.

Would you find out for us; when she could come? How much she would charge? If she would want us to arrange to have her work exhibited in Chicago at the same time?

I am awfully sorry to trouble you about this but we think that we might make one more go for money before the rich and great disperse for the summer.

I am always asking favors from you but hope that you can delegate most of this.

Always devotedly yours

Jane Addams. [signed]
