My dear Miss Addams:

In Mr. McDonald's absence on his vacation I want to thank you for the pamphlets of the Fight the Famine Council. We are especially glad to have them, as we have just this morning received a letter from Miss Cumming, who went to England in May and who feels that the Fight the Famine Council is the organization there with which we could most usefully cooperate. They are at present conducting a campaign for the revision of the Treaty.

You will be glad to know that we are getting good returns from our appeal for signatures to the Russian statement.
