My dear Miss Monroe:

Thank you very much for the trouble you took with Mrs. Scott's play. When I sent it to you I thought the package contained short poems.

Would it be an awful nuisance to you if I left at your office on Cass Street another package? I am sorry to bother you but I must send Mrs. Scott final word soon and I would like to give her every possible chance.

Hoping to see you soon, I am,

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
