Dear Madam:

Enclosed you will find a letter addressed to you, at the Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia. This letter reached Miss Ruth Addams, who inadvertently opened same.

We regret that the mistake was made, and also that there has been delay in the transmission of the letter to you, the greater part of this, however, being due to the mistake in addressing the envelope at the White House.
