THE WESTERN UNION TELEGRAPH COMPANY

Miss Jane Addams, Hull House, Chicago, Ill.

Did I put into telegram the flat-footed statement without qualification or equivocation that I was for woman suffrage, that the Progressive Party is for woman suffrage, and that I believe within half a dozen years we shall have no-one in the United States against it. If not, please insert this, making it as strong as you can, and also wire me if there is anything further of any kind you wish me to put in.

THEODORE ROOSEVELT
