British Committee of the International Women's Congress
12th May, 1915.
[My] dear Sir Edward Grey,
May I ask the courtesy of an interview with you within the [next few?] days. A delegation of three women from three neutral nations -- Italy, Holland and the United States -- have come with a commission from the International Congress of Women recently held at The Hague, which we are most desirous of placing before you.
We [realize], of course, how pressed you are, but venture to ask for a few moments of your time, impelled by the gravity of the situation and by a deep sense of the responsibility resting upon women.
Sincerely yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
To Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Grey, Bt., K.G., etc.
