My dear Miss Addams: --

Mrs Kate Waller Barrett President of the National Council of Women of the United States, with her officers, will be at the Auditorium Hotel on February 5th 6th, and would be very glad if it was possible for you to meet with them for a conference on the afternoon of the 5th. Mrs Barrett as you no doubt know has recently visited the countries of Europe as the representative of the United States Government looking in to the condition of Deported women and children. She has since that been appointed as the Governments representative, for that line of work at the San Francisco-Panama Exposition, and she is anxious to secure the cooperation of leading women and organizations for this work of the Council of Women. If possible she would be pleased to have you and any person you may care to inform of this Conference meet the officers of the Council at Club Room 1, Auditorium Hotel, Chicago, on Friday afternoon at 2 P.M.
