Secretary to Jane Addams to Jean Swinton Hutchins, March 4, 1915

March Fourth
Mrs. Jean Swinton Hutchins,
537 Belmont Avenue,

My dear Mrs. Hutchins:

In the press of business in this office your letter of February 14th containing its suggestion in regard to "Lay Down Your Arms" has remained unanswered.

You will be glad to know that already when your letter came arrangements had been made to have the photo films of "Lay Down Your Arms" presented at the banquet of the Emergency Peace Federation last Saturday night. The program had been arranged before your suggestion was received.

We are writing to Mrs. Van Alstyne in regard to placing her name upon the list of readers we are sending in response to requests for speakers and readers.

Miss Addams wishes me to express her thanks to you for your interest and suggestion.

Sincerely yours,

Assistant Secretary
