My dear Miss Addams,
Would it be a good bit of spectacular propaganda to have unfurled -- at the proper moment -- a big "world flag"?
You saw my suggested design didn't you? A white world, belted diagonally with a red band, on a blue field of stars; one for each nation joining.
This of course would have no binding effect on the coming Federation, but it would be a concrete symbol for peace-preaching, something visible for the Federation propaganda to focus on. It could be made small, sold at meetings, and so on.
I sent you all my propaganda suggestions.
Cordially and lovingly,
Charlotte Perkins Gilman.
