My dear Mrs. Forbes:-

At the suggestion of Mrs. Mead I am sending you this invitation to our Peace Meeting in Washington on January 10th. I am enclosing the letter I wrote some days ago to Mrs. Catt, as being perhaps the best explanation of the situation. I need not tell you how much I hope you can come and how much your presence will add to the value of the meeting.
