My Dear Miss Addams:-

I take pleasure in enclosing my check for $50.00 to your order, in response to your kind note of the 10th inst.

I feel very much in default in not seeing a little something of Hull House as the years roll on. Perhaps Mrs. Levinson will sometime get interested and through her I may form the good habit of visiting you, at least occasionally.

Doubtless you are having a hard time of it this winter, as the burden of the poverty-stricken people falls disproportionately on you.

With highest appreciation and regards, I am,

Sincerely yours,
Salmon O. Levinson [signed]

Miss Jane Addams,
c/o Hull House, City.
