May 22, 1914.

Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Addams:

I am sending you, under separate cover, a copy of a letter which I have written to Senator Dixon and the members of the Progressive National Committee.

I have marked each letter "Confidential," as it does not seem to me that it should be published or quoted publicly.

The substance of the letter has been collected with care. It is, I believe, an accurate statement of the present situation. I should be very glad to know how you feel in regard to the matter.

With kindest regards, believe me

Sincerely yours,

Amos Pinchot. [signed]
