ESTATE OF JAMES W. TOOLEY, DECEASED.
14th January 1913.
My dear Miss Addams: --
I have waited to answer your last letter bearing upon the above estate until an Inventory and Appraisement could be made.
Unfortunately the deceased Mr. Tooley, invested in some wild-cat securities, which at the present time have no market value whatever, and as far as I can ascertain will never be of any value.
In addition to the personal estate, herein inventoried and appraised there are two small houses worth about Two thousand Dollars each, therefore the value of this estate will be in the neighborhood of Twelve thousand Dollars.
I shall advise you from time to time as the necessarily steps for the distribution of the various bequests are carried into effect.
Yours truly
