Dear Miss Addams:-

As a Christmas greeting, let me tell you of the response to a batch of letters we sent out the day before the board meeting last week. These were to old [cooperating] subscribers, asking for renewal. In the weeks preceding, general appeals had been sent out to readers of The Survey, not [cooperating] subscribers.

In the seven days since, we have received thirteen new [cooperating] subscriptions, and sixty-nine renewals -- a total of $820 from these $10 people.
