Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss Addams:-

I received a telegram from Mr. Geo. W. Perkins [today], saying that you would call a meeting of the local <legislative> committee at once. I intend to go to Boston on a train leaving late Christmas night. I shall be in Madison, however, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I shall be glad to go to Chicago if you wish any of those days and meet with you. As I have received but this telegram from Mr. Perkins, I do not know what the plans. He merely says that you will call this meeting and if you do, I am at your service.

Very truly yours,

C McCarthy [signed]
