Dear Miss Addams:

It was my privilege, as a delegate from New York to the Progressive National Convention, to hear your speech seconding the nomination of Mr. Roosevelt and while the opportunity was not favorable during the few minutes following that, when I spoke to you, I cannot forbear on my return to New York to express the acknowledgement which all supporters of Mr. Roosevelt feel for what you did.

Yours very truly,

Ernest Harvier [signed]
