Jane Addams to John A. Kingsbury, August 19, 1912

Baymeath,
Bar Harbor, Maine.

My dear Mr. Kingsbury

Mrs Rice lunched here yesterday, and Mrs Bowen thought her much mollified in regard to T. R.

She read me from a very interesting letter, I suspect from you, [although] she concealed the name of the writer.

I lunch at her house [page 2] on Thursday and will do my best. I have already had a long talk with Mr Jacob Schiff and am growing familiar with the New York point of view. Thanking you very much for your letter, I am

Very sincerely yours

Jane Addams.
