My dear Miss Evans,
I am sending you a copy of our Hague Congress and also a little book which we wrote at the time but which gives perhaps more of our impressions of other countries than the Congress itself. However, between the two perhaps you can find the material you wish.
Long ago I asked Miss Balch to see Mrs. Seltzer. As you can see by the correspondence Paul Kellogg wanted to use part of it for the Survey. I told Mrs. Seltzer that I could not sponsor its publication and I do not think the book needs it as it is very [readable]. Could you look into the matter for me? It is getting to be something of a "dog in the manager" situation. The Seltzers neither published it themselves nor did they see anyone else about it.
