My dear Alice

I got the flowers for three dollars, that with the tickets (4 at $2.00 each) was $11.00 dollars. I want to share both, so that $5.50 will clear the indebtance.

Please write me what the doctor thinks of the Xray photographs.

I spent the night with Mrs Bowen and am writing from here. [page 2] She is very brave and [quiet] but all of them are much grief stricken, of course.
