Dear "Ida Lovett"
Mary Smith and I have been speaking of you with so much affection and appreciation that I am sure you could hardly have felt that we had gone if the mind waves did their duty.
I can't tell how grateful I am for all your goodness to me this summer when I some times found it rather hard to be "careful." I can't tell you either what it means that you will be at H. H. this winter.
I do hope that the remaining days in Paris will be happy ones.
Always with loving devotion J Addams
P.S. Do encourage Mary to take at least six weeks at the Sorbonne.
