INTERNATIONAL BUREAU OF EDUCATION
Genève, le 1er Sept. 1926
My dear Miss Addams,
It was a great disappointment to me not to be able to get to Madame Claparedè’s in time to meet you on Saturday. I had friends from Annam passing through Geneva and, as I only see them once in four years, I had to spend the afternoon with them. Thank you very much for your kind letter. I should not like you to take the trouble to come to my office, but I am anxious to see you. If you will mention any time when I could find you, either at your office or at the Rue du Vieux Collège, I shall be delighted to keep the [page 2] appointment. It was a great joy to hear you on Monday.
Yours very sincerely
M. Butts
P.S. Your letter only reached me yesterday evening, 31st August
