Dear Madam:

We are enclosing a copy of a letter from Mr. Tibbetts received yesterday and a statement attached thereto showing his disbursements last May to be $225.00. We believe this to be very reasonable.

Mr. Tibbetts is one of the Temporary Administrators of the Estate of Amanda F. Lauterbach and the firm of Jerome & Rand are counsel for the three daughters who contested the Will of their mother and made it necessary to enter into the Compromise and Settlement Agreement. Mr. Tibbetts went, as you know, to the headquarters of the League at Geneva and examined the records and interviewed Mme. Hirschmann and Miss Doty, and came back to this country convinced that the League was an existing and functioning organization and that Mme. Hirschmann was the person who in fact performed the duties of Treasurer. You will recall that Mr. Tibbetts was called to Europe on other business and very kindly volunteered to make this investigation. We believe his investigation to have been most fortunate for the interests of the League and that his disbursements are quite reasonable. From the League's standpoint, the expenses cover from Paris to Geneva and back, rather than from New York to Geneva and back. We feel sure that you will approve of these expenses and suggest that you write us a letter to that effect which we can in turn forward to Mme. Hirschmann and Miss Balch.

P.S. Mrs Tibbetts went to Europe with her husband and as you will note from his letter, we think he has quite properly included the expenses for both her and himself.
