My dear Miss Addams:
I have a letter from Mr. Rothschild, who is directing Dr. Rotten's New York engagements, saying that he has forwarded your letter to her in Philadelphia. Mr. Rothschild knows Dr. Rotten well and does not hesitate to accept your invitation in her behalf, feeling sure of the pleasure it will give her. However, you will, no doubt, hear from Dr. Rotten personally.
She expects to arrive in Chicago on April 7 and if that time suits you, will go directly to Hull House. She will be coming from St. Louis, but I do not yet know at what time she will arrive in Chicago and will write to you later with exact information. [page 2]
I shall be very glad to meet her and take her to Hull House on her arrival.
Very sincerely yours,
Lucia Burton Morse. [signed]
