Dear Miss Addams:
I am sending you herewith copy of the Borah article in the New York Times of February 5. The Senator is receiving splendid letters from the big peace people and institutions of the east which means, of course, that the beautiful spirit displayed in this article is meeting with sympathetic and appreciative response from quarters not hitherto in accord with Borah. I trust you will add your important name to the list.
I wish you could have heard Miss Royden last night at the Uptown Forum. The way she handled the relations between England and this country was so skillful and yet so open and honest that she won the audience at every turn. The question period was long and tremendously interesting. To judge by the latter she will ultimately make a great crusader for the Outlawry of War.
