Lucia Burton Morse to Jane Addams, March 19, 1928

BELDEN HOUSE
DOWNERS GROVE

March 19, 1928.

My dear Miss Addams,

Dr. Rotten spoke with eager anticipation of her hope of meeting you again in Chicago, and I know how happy she will be to stay with you while she is here.

Her other personal visits, she will make at the places about Chicago, where she is to speak and remain [page 2] over night, and I am enclosing the list of her engagements. I wish in one way that they were not so many and so scattered as to location. I am sending your invitation to her at once, and I know it is one she will cherish.

I saw Dr. Rotten in New York, and found her well and very happy to be in America. She [page 3] brought a beautiful spirit to our Progressive Education Conference when she spoke to very large groups.

Most sincerely yours,

Lucia Burton Morse
