Jane Addams to Anna Strunsky Walling, March 2, 1928

HULL-HOUSE
800 SOUTH HALSTED STREET
CHICAGO

March 2, 1928.

My dear Mrs. Walling,

I have talked over the matter of the Russian exhibit with Professor Paul H. Douglas who has recently been in Russia. We have reluctantly agreed that it would be almost impossible to raise money in Chicago now to finance an adequate exhibition and we are, therefore, deciding against having it come.

I have, however, sent the material to one or two other people and they may be more enthusiastic but I am afraid that I could not take it up.

With regret and with apologies for my delayed reply, I am

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

P.S. Please give my cordial greetings to your household.
