Jane Addams to Dorothy Detzer, January 25, 1928

Jany 25" 1928

Dear Dorothy Detzer

Will you answer this lady & say I turned her letter over to you?

"Nick" Carter was married last Sunday afternoon in the Kenneth Rich's apartment. I "gave the bride away" in loco parentis, her name is [Isabelle] Kirkland from the Institute of Juvenile Research, a Smith College girl & very nice!

I hear Maude Royden's meeting was splendid, hurrah for the W.I.L.!

Hastily yours Jane Addams
