FROM DAME HENRIETTA BARNETT, D.B.E.,
1. SOUTH SQUARE.
HAMPSTEAD GARDEN SUBURB, N.W. 11.
Jany 1st 1928
Dear dear dear Friend
This note has no sort of purpose except to tell you that I love you, to beg you to take care of your body, & to ask you to dictate a letter [page 2] to tell me of your welfare.
The weather here is quite new -- I never remember -- icy gales, deep snow -- thick fog -- rain & freezing together, flooded miles, impassable roads -- and marooned villages. It makes life very difficult. This letter is not worth 1½ except to get one from you! Yours ever
Henrietta O Barnett
[written at top of page 1] I send you a few typed words about the photo of the Pines at Hampstead wh I posted to you on Dec 22d. Do you like it?
