My dear Miss Addams

Please be so noble and read all of this reprint just as though you had not had a copy of the original Survey.

This program of the National Manufacturers' Association can not be truthfully described otherwise than as an onslaught upon American working children. It will be before the legislatures year after year in one form or another and the old saying will again be true -- that the righteous can not worship the Lord because they are incessantly fighting the Devil.

Can you suggest any names and addresses of men and women to whom we should send copies for the purpose of enlightenment?

Yours hopefully

Florence Kelley [signed]
