Dear Miss [Addams]: --

Have just been reading your article in the Frisco Examiner relative to the Crime situation.

Am sending you in the attached article entitled "Just a few facts about why men return to Prisons" which the writer has been trying since Oct. 1925 to have published. It was written on my release from Sing Sing.

Naturally I have been having an uphill fight since my release and a few dollars for this article would be of great help to me.

Am glad to advise you that I am going straight and being a decent law abiding citizen. But I had to come out here to get away from the Dicks and my past record.

If you can have same published for me, please do so under the name of Rex Young and have check sent to

Yours respectfully

Wm. B. Grimes.
