228 SPRINGFIELD STREET
CHICOPEE, MASSACHUSETTS

Dear Jane

In case you shouldn't be seeing the Springfield Republican I am sending you a copy of today's issue containing a superb analysis of the S-V case by one James Williams of whom I never heard before. Would he had [page 2] written it sooner, so compact & sufficient.

Also, in case you should have seen it, I wish to say of my feeble little letter, written two days earlier to satisfy my conscience, since all & sundry were taking a lunch, that I did not sign it Hull House. [page 3] The editor did that, I'm sorry, but I suppose it is not worse than other things poor H.H. has to bear. I ↑also↓ enclose a clipping of some time since from the Spfd. Repub. that you probably have had [page 4] sent you before.

Well, we can only pray now.

Love to Mary,

Devotedly

Ellen
