My dear Mrs Hicks --
I am very grateful for your letter about H.H. Miss [MacManus?] wrote me that the S.O. acc't on July 8" was $6,167.00 without the endorsement on Mrs Rosenwald's check -- so it seems to me that we are doing fairly well. Perhaps you will let me know once a week how we stand.
How is the work in the gymnasium building coming on? And how is Mrs. [Pilger?]?
The weather over here has been very warm for two days, I hope it doesn't mean that you are suffering from the heat. Always affectionately yours Jane Addams.
