My dear Mde. Schwimmer:

Mde. Ramondt has just written me from Philadelphia that Dr. Jacobs had had a slight stroke and probably would not be able to go to Dublin.

I am not sure that I shall see Dr. Jacobs this summer unless I sail from Rotterdam, in which case I shall hope to go to the Hague and pay her a call.

Miss Manus as you know has had nothing to do with the W.I.L for years and I have scarcely seen her since 1915. I should think that Mde. Palthe could probably do more in that matter than anyone else. Personally, I always let matters of that sort alone but I know that is not the line which many wise people advise.

Hoping you are better, I am,
faithfully yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
