My dear Madame Ramondt,

The Lawyers in New York continue to make difficulties. I am sending you a letter I wrote them today which I hope will be satisfactory. In their last letter they challenged the fact that [Madeleine] Doty seemed to act as Treasurer in Geneva. The Will said that in case the W.I.L. was not incorporated that the money should be made over to the Treasurer and now our whole hope depends on the fact that we are able to establish that you are Treasurer also operating under the name of Financial Secretary.

I am sure you will be willing to go to Geneva and to take with you any records which you may have, especially of your election and [reelection], which will establish the fact in the mind of Mr. [Tibbetts].

I hope you will not be confused if I have to send a cable or two.

Affectionately yours,

Mde. C. Ramondt-Hirschmann,
Daniel de Langstr,
Amsterdam, Holland.

P.S. The amount of the legacy may be approximately $27,000.00. Nothing like it has ever come our way before and it would be too hard to miss it through our inability to establish the office of Treasurer.
