My dear Miss Jane [Addams]

I'm so sorry to trouble you but I think you should know this.

I was informed that the tablet in memory of [my] dear Husband Morris Schwabacher -- after nearly 12 years at the University Settlement [page 2] on 46th & Gross St. was at last up in the [Room].

I went out this afternoon to see it and can you imagine [again] my disappointment when I saw a wooden one hanging [there].

The young man that took me to see same said that was the second one as the first one was broken [being] knocked down $5,000.00 for that [page 3]. I left word that the board or who ever looked after same should let me know what they would do about same at once.

The room that I thought they had for a club room isn't being used. I don't know why. Will you please find out about this $5,000.00 tablet and room and let me know what [page 4] you [advise] me to do. I don't want to go to Mr. Moses about same.

Thanks

Nellie K. Schwabacher

I have been away eight months and just got back -- [love?] to my cousin Mrs Dr. Kohn please -- I saw you in New Orleans but you didn't see me.

I saw the Kingsley House Wonderful that.
