WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

April 13, 1927.

My dear Mrs. Hull,

It was so very nice to have a letter from you and I do hope you will be well enough to come to Cleveland. I am sorry about the delay in Mrs. Thomas' letter in regard to the legacy. I only found her letter upon my return to Chicago, but in the meantime having heard from Mrs. White's lawyer it would be a lot easier if the International W.I.L. were incorporated under the laws of the State of New York. I asked [Madeleine] Doty to get a vote from the Executive Committee authorizing this with Miss Balch as Treasurer and am sending you a copy of her reply. So it seems to me that Mr. Keenan is duly authorized to go ahead. Miss Balch, I hope, will be able to represent the International Board more immediately than I can. I have sent her all the material. Isn't it fine to have a little money come our way?

With affectionate greetings to your husband and daughter, I am

Devotedly yours,

Jane Addams [signed]
