WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM

International Secretary: Madeleine Z. Doty
12, Rue du Vieux-Collège, Geneva, Switzerland

April 2, 1927.

Dear Executive Member,

Enclosed please find a copy of a letter sent to us by Monsieur le Député Ernest Lafont in response to the one which we wrote him concerning the new French Mobilization Law, thanking him for his able attack on the bill.

We also wish to call your attention to the fact that we have had a telegram from [Matilda] Widegren (Sweden) calling our attention to the critical situation between [Yugoslavia] and Italy and asking us to take some action in this matter.

After consulting various people here, two people who are associated with the League of Nations, I telegraphed her as follows:

"opinion here crisis passed consulting Executive."

I should be very glad if you as a member of the Executive would instruct me further as to how I should act in this matter.

Very sincerely yours,

Madeleine Z. Doty [signed]
International Secretary.
